Liddy Detar is the Academic Advisor for SWLF's undergraduate majors, minors, and certificates. Her teaching and areas of interest include memoir writing, Caribbean literary studies, feminist and queer theories, and story-based strategies for social change. Dr. Detar has also taught and advised for years in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She coordinates the MFA Graduate Internship Program and directs “Social Action Works,” a professional development initiative that supports undergraduate students to explore careers that enact social commitments. Dr. Detar trains horses and riders in natural horsemanship, rock climbs, enjoys digital media, quilting, and spending time with her teenage kids.
